An ioSafe external hardrive combined with Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery backup software can make a backup solution you can count on. We've taken a look at the fireproof and waterproof ioSafe external hard drive and are quite impressed. (we looked at other fire proof units we were NOT impressed with). Our salesman, Wendell Martin, was a fireman and says he can recommend the ioSafe. "The ioSafe is rated to survive 1550 degrees for 1/2 hour and it would have to be in the hottest part of a fire not to survive." he says. ioSafe prices run from $500 for 2 TB down to under $200 for a 500GB so they are affordable for small businesses and even home owners.
