"How does SBF and Microsoft POS integrate?"
I get this question in the form of emails, phone calls and newsgroup posts. The integration level is at the general ledger level and you will need to do your inventory control in either SBF or the Point of Sale.
If you REALLY need to have inventory level integration between your accounting package and the point of sale consider one of these options: #1-Determine if using SBF sales orders/invoices will work as a quasi-POS interface. #2-See if Microsoft Office Accounting meets your needs because it has a very slick inventory integration to Microsoft POS. #3-Consider Dynamics GP?
If considering option #1 above keep in the mind the following limitations: #1-SBF does not allow negative line items on invoices. #2-you will want some way to print SBF invoices with one key. (like our "QuickPrint" module)
Somewhat off topic but we have developed a general ledger level integration for TransActPOS which is a Point of Sale system designed for TrueValue stores.
